Before Applying — The Hagan Scholarship has specific requirements that must be maintained every semester to keep the scholarship. Please review the Scholarship Particulars before applying, so you will understand what is expected of you if awarded a scholarship. We communicate with applicants only to avoid miscommunication.

Essential Information

2. Tips on How to Prepare a Successful Application
Eligibility Criteria. No Exceptions.
1. Must not hold U.S. citizenship.
2. Must be a first-time graduate student in the Fall 2027 semester. Must not have attended graduate school.
3. Must not be over 24 years of age as of the June 1, 2027 Submittal Deadline.
4. Must have been awarded, or will be awarded by the upcoming Fall27 semester, an undergraduate degree from a foreign institution.
5. Must provide a Graduation Plan prepared by an Institution located in the United States and approved by the Department Chair.
6. Must provide a Letter of Acceptance for Enrollment for the upcoming Fall 2027 semester from the Institution
7. Must provide a copy of applicant’s undergraduate Transcript showing the Award Degree with the Fall27 Semester Submittal.
8. Must be fluent in the English language.
9. Must contribute toward the cost of applicant’s education by working 240 hours from January 1, 2027 to September 1, 2027. Employment and/or paid internships must be performed under supervision for compensation. Work can be full-time or part-time.
10. Must provide a copy of the parents Financial Statement using a Form provided by HSF.
Value of the Hagan International Scholarship
1. $2,000 to purchase essential items for college. Disbursed to recipient at the time of the fall semester disbursement.
2. Up to $7,500 each semester for up to four consecutive semesters or $30,000.
3. Free workshop to learn essential life skills not typically covered in the school curriculum. Being implemented Fall26.
The intended recipient is a high-achieving goal-driven student having substantial financial need.
