About the Grantor
The Grantor, Dan Hagan, is a self-made businessman. As a young man the Grantor attended four small public schools located in rural counties. The Grantor worked during high school and attended the University of Missouri without incurring debt.
Now, due to the high cost of college, many aspiring students from rural counties cannot afford a four year college education. The Grantor intends to help others in circumstances similar to those he experienced as a young man.
The award of a Hagan Scholarship is intended to make a college education affordable and will provide each recipient with the opportunity to obtain a college education and graduate debt free. The Workshops and $10,000 Schwab Account are intended to help each recipient obtain a practical understanding of important life skills that may not be taught as a part of the school curriculum.
